EDDIE HEARN has slammed Tyson Fury’s reported fight against the unbeaten German Tom Schwarz as “terrible”.
Fury, 30, is set to face WBO No2 ranked heavyweight contender Schwarz – with the fight expected to be announced this weekend.
The fight will be Fury’s first on ESPN after signing an £80million deal – which ultimately saw his rematch with WBC champion Deontay Wilder shelved.
Speaking to Boxing Social, promoter of Anthony Joshua, Eddie Hearn, labelled the bout “terrible” reflecting on the difference between Schwarz and the Wilder rematch.
Hearn said: “It’s a terrible fight when you’re going from rematching Deontay Wilder then fighting Tom Schwarz.
“But I have to admire Tyson Fury, if he can get paid the kind of money he’s reportedly getting paid to fight Tom Schwarz – congratulations.”
SunSport suggested how fight with Schwarz makes mockery of Gypsy King’s big claims and is bad news for fans.
Almost four months after his sensational performance against Wilder, 33, that should have secured him the WBC heavyweight world title, Fury looks set to return to poor opposition.

Fury filled and thrilled the Los Angeles Staples Center in December, fans flocked to back their man in what seemed like an impossible task against the dynamite-fisted champion.
But without a title on the line, any needle or backstory or even a serious threat to Fury’s undefeated record, who will be tuning in to watch this walkover?
Hopefully it’s a third warm-up fight ahead of more serious showdowns in 2019 and the supporters who have stuck by the former champion through thick and thin get rewarded with a giant showdown soon.
