While some fans joked about Favre being a “hipster” – the Dortmund boss had missed his sides last game against Werder Bremen due to illness.

Several Dortmund players have suffered through a virus this month and Favre seemed keen not to pass his illness onto Pochettino.

Whether the Dortmund boss was being a trendy 61-year-old, or looking out for Pochettino’s best interests – Twitter loved the fist-bump.

Spurs come into the game without Harry Kane or Deli Alli – leaving Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min leading the line.

Dortmund too are without key players as forward Marco Reus and striker Paco Alcácer are ruled out with injury.

However, the German league leaders do have England star Jadon Sancho and Chelsea loanee Christian Pulisic in attack at Wembley.

Pulisic signed for the Blues last month- though he will link up with his new club next season, remaining at Dortmund until this campaign is over.
