The EMSC has confirmed a 4.7 magnitude quake struck 78km south-west of Farīdābād, India.
The quake occurred at 7pm local time, 2.30pm BST.
As it stands, no casualties have been reported.
There has been no reports of damage to buildings in the capital as of yet.
One local tweeted: “Major earthqake in Delhi.
“Building still shaking. God!”
