Coronation Street’s Colson Smith now lives with co-star Ben Price after being left homeless

CORONATION Street’s Colson Smith now lives with his co-star Ben Price after being left homeless.

The actor – who plays Craig Tinker on the soap – has moved on to another Cobbles regular after Jack P. Shepherd ditched him to live with his girlfriend.

And he’s even stayed within the same family after swapping the actor who plays David Platt for his half brother Nick Tilsley.

Speaking on the podcast Sofa Cinema Club, which he makes with Jack and Ben, Colson revealed:  “I’ve moved in with Ben [Price].

“It’s a little bit like the changing of the guard, the colour of troop of whatever it’s called.

“You’ve handed me over.”

Jack, who plays David, continued: “I’ve handed over the baton. I’m saying, ‘I’ve had that for a year, you deal with that.’ ”

He jokingly added: “I’ve moved in with my girlfriend, thankfully.”

Ben, who plays Jack’s half-brother Nick, explained: “It was like, ‘The lease is up, you’re having him.’”

Colson and Jack lived together for a year in a swanky £300,000 flat in Manchester up until January.

Their musician mate Freddie Bolt also lived with them and the lads were known for throwing a few wild parties.

Last summer Jack was also pictured passed out in the lift of the flats following one to many while celebrating the World Cup over the summer.

But when their lease came to an end Jack decided to move in with his girlfriend Hanni Treweek after dating for just over a year.

Jack and Hanni confirmed they were dating in December 2017, following his split from fiancee Lauren Shippey after 15 years together.

Jack shares children Nyla and Reuben with Lauren and he is also the father of a little boy  following a one-night stand with  Sammy Milewski.

Colson, Jack and Ben have launched their own podcast

Jack previously revealed how much he helps Colson around the house, saying: “I live with Colson – and that’s a challenge.

“I have to teach him about life and things, and I do his washing.”

He added: “He’s like my little project – my nickname is ‘Dad’.”

Colson, Ben and Jack launched their podcast, which sees them sit down to watch a movie together, last month.
