Actor Callum Harrison says Clayton Hibbs is more dangerous than ever as he puts his mother Shona Ramsey’s life at risk

As the police close in, Clayton, who is behind bars for the murder of Kylie Platt, is seen dragging Shona outside holding a knife to her.

As the drama comes to a crescendo, Callum told Metro.co.uk that if he killed Shona there would be no coming back for his character.

He warned: “I think that would be history for him really, there’d be no coming back from that would there? But you’d just have to wait and see what happens.”

The young actor explained that Clayton is incredibly “dangerous” and easily provoked so Shona’s life truly does hang in the balance.

He said of the harrowing storyline: “He’s very dangerous – he thinks he’s a hard man and will do anything to prove that but as you’ll see, he’s very weak.

“He’s really scared but he will put on this act – but he regrets the things he does in the long run… But then the police are outside and she’s let him down and he can’t believe she’s betrayed him like that.”

The plot has been playing out for weeks after Shona, played by Julia Goulding, got back in touch with the murderer, and has been worried by thugs on the inside who are making his life hell.

It all kicks off when Shona goes to Clayton’s father Dane’s funeral, with vicar Billy, played by Daniel Brocklebank, offering to accompany her for support.

But when they arrive, Dane’s mate Macca tells them they are not welcome.

However Shona still heads to the graveside, where she finds out Clayton wants nothing to do with her.

Before Shona can process the information, Macca attacks the prison guard holding Clayton at the graveside, and he manages to escape.

Later, Shona steals £3000 from boyfriend David Platt, but things take another turn when Clayton holds his mum hostage as the police close in.
