A COP has been sacked for calling a black waitress “fluffy coco angel” and saying Hitler “has never done us any harm”.
PC David Alston, 31, claimed his racist, sexist and homophobic WhatsApp messages were “banter” with his Army Reserve colleagues.

The shamed Royal Signals soldier – who swapped extreme porn in the group – called a “hot black chick” in a London bar “umbongo” and “coco angel” when out with friends.
He then posted a controversial advert for the Umbongo soft drink in the group.
When questioned Alston, said it was “meant as a compliment” but did not say it to the waitress’ face.
Alston failed to challenge homophobic slurs and joked about gay sex with his nine pals.

A panel in Chelmsford, Essex, heard the Braintree officer left the chat group in September 2017 after quitting the military. He admitted gross misconduct and apologised.
Stephen Morely, for Essex Police, told the hearing: “PC Alston is expected to protect society from this type of language, not indulge in it.”
