CONOR MCGREGOR was yesterday arrested in Miami after allegedly smashing a phone out of a British fan’s hand.
The alleged incident took place at 5am local time outside the Fontainebleau hotel on Miami beach.
McGregor, 30, is in the US with his family celebrating his mum Margaret’s 60th birthday.
He was charged with strong-arm robbery and misdemeanour criminal mischief, the Miami Beach Police Department said.
McGregor was released Monday night after posting $12,500 (£9,450) bond.
He released a short statement after he was bailed vowing to continue to work on his “patience” while declaring his admiration for his supporters.
He said: “Patience in this world is a virtue I continue to work on. I love my fans dearly. Thank you all.”
According to the arrest report, McGregor and the fan were walking out of the hotel – home to a famed nightclub called LIV – at 5am.
When the fan, named locally as 22-year-old Ahmed Abdirzak, tried to take a picture with his mobile, McGregor slapped it out of his hand before stomping on it several times, the report said.
McGregor then picked up the phone £755 device and walked away with it, according to Miami Beach police.
The Irish UFC star was not arrested at the scene but police later found him at a house on North Venetian Drive, the Miami Herald reported.
He taken to Miami-Dade jail on Monday night and had his mugshot taken.
His lawyer Samuel Rabin said that McGregor “was involved in a minor altercation involving a cell phone that resulted in a call to law enforcement.
“Mr McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation.”
The arrest comes a year after he attacked a bus carrying UFC fighters including Khabib Nurmagomedov in New York.
McGregor pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge and was sentenced to three days of anger management courses and five days of community service.
He was suspended from UFC for six months and fined $50,000

McGregor has been on holiday with his family in Florida ahead of a UFC comeback.

And the holidays continued as McGregor showed his daring side by getting in the arena with an alligator.
He uploaded pictures of the duel and managed to grab the reptile by its tail.
