Cheltenham Festival 2019 runners and riders: Field of 20 declared for the Close Brothers Novices’ Chase

A RED-HOT field of 20 have been declared for the Close Brothers Novices’ Handicap Chase.

Highway One O One, Red Indian and Cubomania share top-weight on 11st 9lb.

Henry De Bromhead’s A Plus Tard and Tom Taffe’s Riders Onthe Storm are vying for favouritism and also feature among the final field.

Tower Bridge, a Grade 1 winner over hurdles last year, has been declared for Joseph O’Brien.

Movewiththetimes and the in-form Walt will represent Paul Nicholls and Neil Mulholland respectively.

The line-up is completed by Lough Derg Spirit, Ben Dundee, Militarian, The Russian Doyen, Springtown Lake, Roaring Bull, Huntsman Son, Shady Operator, Good Man Pat, Solomn Grundy, Quamino and Dell Oro.

How can I watch the Close Brothers Novices’ Handicap Chase?

The race will be broadcast live on ITV. Racing TV will also have live coverage of the race.

The race is due to get underway at 4.50pm on Tuesday and is the sixth race on day one of the Cheltenham Festival.
