CHELSEA’S Eden Hazard is “100 percent sure” he wants to transfer to Real Madrid this summer with the Los Blancos ready to pay £100million, according to reports.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of next season and the La Liga giants are plotting to test the Blues resolve with an initial bid of £70million.
The Belgian star can agree a move from January but Chelsea are reportedly prepared to lose him for free if it means blocking Madrid’s bid at the end of the season.
Hazard has admitted that it is his dream to play for Los Blancos and had his heart set on a move to Spain even before the return of his idol, Zinedine Zidane, cites AS.
Chelsea rejected the Spanish giant’s advances after the World Cup in the hope their main man would commit his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
Talks have been ongoing as the Blues try and tie the winger down to a new contract but Hazard has resisted £300,000 per week to extend his stay in west London.
Hazard recently told a French radio station: “I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision.”
However, Chelsea’s transfer ban looks like it could throw a spanner in Hazard’s plan, with the Blues unable to make any signings this summer or in January.
It means Chelsea might instead be prepared to keep hold of Hazard for one more season because they simply cannot replace him this summer.
As exclusively revealed by SunSport, Chelsea will not let both Hazard and fellow wantaway star Callum Hudson-Odoi leave this summer.
