Chelsea fans delighted as Real Madrid keeper Courtois is nutmegged AGAIN

CHELSEA fans have poked fun at ex-keeper Thibaut Courtois after he was once again nutmegged.

The Real Madrid stopper started in goal against his former club Atletico Madrid and saw the Antoine Griezmann’s equalizer on 25 minutes slide through his legs.

Courtois, who left Chelsea last summer forcing through a Stamford Bridge exit – became subject to some trolling from Blues fans on Twitter.

Last year Lionel Messi nutmegged the Belgian in Chelsea’s Champions League round of 16 game at the Nou Camp.

This season the 26-year-old was again left embarrassed after ex-Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla managed to squeeze a header through the legs of the 6ft 6ins keeper.

After Griezmann cancelled out Casemiro’s 16th minute opener – Chelsea fans poked fun at “snake” Courtois by urging the Belgain to “#CloseYourLegs”.

One said: “Some things never change. #Snake #CloseYourLegs.”

Another said: “He is a slut. Cannot keep his legs closed.”

Courtois’ blushes were saved as Real restored their three minutes before half-time as skipper Sergio Ramos converted a penalty.

Coming into the game Chelsea fans were not the only ones targeting their ex-keeper, as Atletico supporters defaced a plaque outside the ground and covering it with RATS.

Other fans were seen spitting and pouring beer on it.

Courtois spent two seasons at Atletico on loan from Chelsea, and after reaching 100 games for the Spanish club, was awarded with a plaque.

But in the week this was defaced by furious fans. It was fixed up in time for the La Liga game, but now has some new additions.

Speaking about the abuse he has received, Courtois said: “I don’t mind. If that makes them happy, then good for them.

“If they want to throw things at my head, it won’t affect me. It’s more motivation.”
