Celebrity MasterChef fans slam John Torode for 'breaking show rules': 'Not allowed!'

Gregg Wallace and John Torode were back tonight with Celebrity MasterChef and the final four contestants from this week’s heats battled it out in the hopes of gaining a place in the semi-finals. However, fans rushed to Twitter to discuss John Torode supposedly breaking one of the main rules of judging when he helped out one of the teams after noticing they were making a mistake with their fish.

Last night on Celebrity MasterChef, fans were sad to say goodbye to RuPaul’s Drag Race star Baga Chipz, after a tough day in the kitchen.

Tonight, Dominic Littlewood, Phil Daniels, Sam Quek, and Karen Gibson were given their toughest challenge yet.

Last night they were thrown into the professional kitchen, but tonight they were sent off to Surrey to the McLaren’s Technology Centre to cook for more than 1,000 hungry workers.

Before this was the ‘pairs challenge’ in which contestants are put into teams and asked to cook identical dishes without being able to see what their partner was doing.

Dom and Phil were paired up and it quickly became clear that there was going to be some communication issues.

Phil had some grand ideas, but Dom was going to do whatever he wanted to do.

John had asked the men to wrap their cod in parma ham and expected them to pan fry them.

Neither of them did this, firstly they failed to wrap the fish in the ham, and then they tried to oven cook them.

“It slightly defeats the object of the whole thing… #MasterChefUK #CelebrityMasterChef.”

Another added: “John Torode interfering kind of defeats the whole point of the challenge. LET THEM F*** IT UP. #masterchefuk #CelebrityMasterchef.”

A third scolded: “There is LITERALLY no point in judging this if John is going to help the boys and not the girls. That’s not allowed! #Masterchef.”

And a fourth said: “This is a disaster – just let them get on with it!” #MasterChef.”

Fans also made it clear they had never enjoyed the pairs challenge anyway and that BBC bosses should scrap it altogether.

One viewer tweeted: “I’ve always hated this round! Just think it’s a bit above what celebs should be judged on.

    “Normal Masterchef, yes.#CelebrityMasterchef no.”

Another said: “Controversial opinion by The Pairs Challenge is worse than the professional kitchen round. #masterchefuk #CelebrityMasterchef.”

With one more night to go until the semi-finalist is announced, it could be a close call.

Celebrity MasterChef continues on BBC One tomorrow at 8pm.
