GLAMOUR model Chloe Ayling is to testify at the trial of a man accused of kidnapping her after she agreed to give evidence.
Mum-of-one Chloe, 21, says she was snatched and bundled into the boot of a car by two brothers when she turned up for a bogus photoshoot.
Last year Lukasz Herba was given 16 years for his part in the kidnap and his brother Michal is now on trial after being extradited from Britain where they both lived.
At the first trial in Milan the court relied on a police statement and Chloe was not cross examined but lawyers for Michal have successfully argued she should be cross examined.
They claim there are anomalies in her story and want to question her as to why she “went shopping with Lukasz, held hands with him and slept in the same bed as him” while being held hostage in an isolated farmhouse near Turin.
Eyebrows have been raised ever since Chloe claimed to have been kidnapped in Milan two years ago before being released five days later.
Some sceptics have claimed it was a publicity stunt and at Lukasz trial it emerged a Hollywood director had contacted his lawyer pointing out similarities in Chloe’s case and a film he had made.
Last night Michal’s lawyer Simone Zancani said:”I can confirm Chloe will testify via video link from London in May.
“This is a significant step forward in our defence and we are delighted. It gives us the opportunity for the first time to cross examine Chloe about her story.”

She had argued that she felt “vulnerable” going to Milan but Mr Zancani pointed out she regularly posted pictures of herself on Instagram at locations across the world and earlier this year uploaded a picture of herself in Milan saying it was “one of her favourite cities”.
Chloe, from Coulsdon, south London was not available for comment.
Since the kidnap she has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, published a book and had a fling with Ceglie CBB star and footballer Jermaine Pennant.
