JAMIE CARRAGHER has backed Liverpool to exploit Manchester United’s defensive weaknesses in the wake of Jose Mourinho’s sacking.
The rivals clash this weekend in a crunch Premier League meeting at Old Trafford, with plenty on the line.
A win for Liverpool would give them a huge boost in their title race with Manchester City.
While a United victory could see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tighten his grip on fourth.
The Red Devils are playing an exciting new brand of attacking football after the Norwegian replaced Mourinho in December.
But former Liverpool ace Carragher reckons United could be there for the taking, with Mourinho’s defensive drills proving crucial to the results of the fixture in recent years.

Carragher told Viasport: “The way they [United] are setting up now, they’re really attacking, on the front foot, exciting to watch.
“Maybe that will give Liverpool more chance in terms of space at Old Trafford.
“Whenever Mourinho’s teams played against Liverpool at Old Trafford there was very little space for Mane and Salah.
“They always found it really difficult in the last couple of years. So maybe that might change, maybe a more open game.”
