CALL The Midwife’s Jessica Raine has given birth to her first child and has been pictured pushing her newborn baby in a pram.
The 36-year-old actress, who played midwife Jenny Lee in the BBC drama until series three, only confirmed she was pregnant with her first child in mid-January.
But as she stepped out on Saturday morning with husband Tom Goodman-Hill, 50, it was revealed she has already given birth.
While the gender and name of her newborn is unknown, Jessica, 36, looked stylish as she pushed the pram, wearing a black jacket, and a white T-shirt.
She teamed them with turned up jeans and some funky shades as she did a spot of shopping at the supermarket with her actor husband.
Jessica first confirmed the happy news at the premiere of her new BBC drama Baptiste while taking part in a Q&A in January.
The Mirror reported how Jessica had a noticeable baby bump and discussed performing stunts while being pregnant.
She explained: “I was a bit tired but the worrying thing for production was there was a car race and stunt and I neglected to tell them I was pregnant when I took the job.
“I broke the news and everyone was amazing, we had to work out how to do a car chase without me being in any danger.
“Also my character is quite hard and being pregnant is quite emotional so it worked well, I was interested most in food on this job so my shirts get bigger as the series goes on.”
