SUN-SEEKING Brits are lapping up the rays on the hottest February day ever – just 12 months after the country was battered by heavy snow.

Some parts of the UK were as hot as 23C, with sunny conditions set to continue until at least Thursday.

It’s a huge difference from last year, when the country was brought to a standstill by wintery conditions brought by the Beast from the East.

Today parts of the UK were hotter than Malaga and Rome (both 15C) and the Algarve (18C).

But it won’t be for long as Britain is about to fall to the mercy of the Atlantic as it hurls a barrage of stormy weather systems our way, forecasters warn.
