However, mum Lynne has hinted that Britney is being held against her will at rehab after liking posts calling for fans to listen to Britney’s Gram podcast.

The podcast claims that the pop sensation is being “imprisoned” in a mental health facility and is there “indefinitely”.

A message on podcast co-founder Barbara Gray’s Instagram page claims Britney has actually been in rehab since January and has “had her autonomy completely taken away from her”.

She wrote: “An anonymous voicemail was left on our hotline from a credible source we have since verified – he revealed that this is allegedly false and she has been in there for quite some time – and NOT of her own choice. He made a number of other chilling revelations.

“I know that there is a lot of bad s**t going on in the world so I understand if you maybe think this is not important, but a woman has had her autonomy completely taken away from her, and I find it incredibly distressing.

“Also a light needs to be shed on conservatorships in general because they are often used to financially take advantage of people. ”

Earlier this week Lynne sparked concern for her daughter when she liked an Instagram comment that read: “I really hope you are supporting Britney in trying to end this conservatorship.

“I really hope your ailing ex husband isn’t keeping your daughter somewhere against her will.”

Britney is said to be struggling to cope after her dad Jamie almost died from a ruptured colon.

Posting on Instagram, her mum Lynne shared an image of a woman on her knees with the message: “When God’s warriors go down on their knees the battle is not over; it has just begun.”

Lynne, who split from Britney’s dad in 2008, then went on to “like” a number of comments that followed.

One message she “liked” read: “I really hope you are supporting Britney in trying to end this conservatorship.

Dad Jamie became Britney’s conservator – a judge-appointed guardian who manages the financial affairs of another – after her public breakdown in 2008.

The performer is thought to staying at the mental health facility for 30 days.

The last time Britney spoke to fans was when she posted a picture on Instagram which read: “Fall in love with taking care of yourself, mind, body, spirit.”

Announcing she was cancelling her second Vegas residency, Britney wrote to her fans: “I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say.

“I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart.

“However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make.

“A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalised and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him.”

The Sun Online has contacted Britney’s representative for comment.
