A KNIFE thrower feared he would seriously injure Simon Cowell when the Britain’s Got Talent boss asked to take part in his stunt.

Simon, worth £438million, took the place of Andrei Gomonov’s glamorous assistant on stage.

Andrei admitted: “This was high stakes. It was more dangerous because I didn’t know what Simon would do.

“I know my partner. She knows not to be scared and not to move.

“But I didn’t know if Simon might move. I worried I might leave him seriously injured.

“I had small nerves. I’m a professional, I must be ready and keep my focus.”

Explaining why he took up the challenge Simon, 59, said: “I wanted to feel what it’s like. It is terrifying.”

Judge David Walliams, 47, told Andrei: “You could’ve killed him when you had the chance.”

Co-star Alesha Dixon, 40, added: “Simon, please just don’t move!”

Host Declan Donnelly, 43, told Simon he hoped he wasn’t superstitious quipping: “You realise this is Series 13?”

Viewers can see the drama from 8pm tomorrow night on ITV. Also appearing is a pensioner comedian from Stockport, an Irish singer, and husband and wife ballroom duo from Wolverhampton.
