A court freed suspect Declan Marshall after his lawyer argued he had spent five months in jail and should be allowed home while more evidence is sought.

Muscle-man Marshall, 27, was understood to be back in Stoke last night amid concerns he will not return to face trial.

Emma, from Kent, said: “I still have the physical and mental scars from the attack and I’m having regular hospital and dental appointments plus counselling.

“He nearly killed me and I’m in constant pain.

“I can’t hear properly because my eardrum was perforated, I have trouble breathing and haven’t been able to work since.

“But he’s now back home free celebrating.

“He should be made to face trial and be punished properly and locked up to protect other women because I feel sure he’ll do it again.”
