Birds Eye now does mini RAINBOW waffles

IF you love a Birds Eye potato waffle then you need to try these mini rainbow versions.

Each pack of mini waffles contains four flavours – classic mash potato, beetroot, garden pea and sweet potato.

The waffles cost £2 from Iceland and come in four flavours

The classic mash potato waffle with the crispy outside have been around for 38 years.

But this isn’t the first time that Birds Eye has changed things up with the recipe.

Last year, the household name introduced sweet potato waffles – but they are usually more expensive than the classic versions.

The classic and mini waffles can be baked, grilled or even cooked in a toaster.

Birds Eye also sells classic mini potato waffles and alphabites.

You can buy a pack of mini-waffles for £2 from Iceland from April 8 until May 6.

After that they’ll cost £2.50 each. Ocado is also selling the new product too.

Birds Eye’s new marketing campaign claims they’ve launched the product after demand from unicorns. Yes, unicorns.

Pete Johnson, from Birds Eye, said: Birds Eye rainbow mini waffles are a simple but magical mix of fluffy potato mash and vegetable goodness that will introduce more colour and dietary variety to the nation’s plates.

“We’ve heard a rumour that unicorns love them already…  in fact, 9 out of 10 unicorns prefer them.”

Lots of big brands and food companies are using the mythical creatures to appeal to kids.

For example, Bernard Matthews has even launched turkey nuggets shaped like unicorns.

There are also unicorn-themed Jammie Dodgers, which you can buy at B&M.

Surely it’s just a matter of time before we see unicorn shaped waffles?!
