Are members plotting New World Order?
The Bilderberg Meeting was created to facilitate dialogue between Europe and North America.
At the event, participants are under Chatham House Rule, which dictates that those in attendance are free to use any information received – but most not reveal the identities of those who gave it nor the affiliation of the speaker or any other participant.
Those who attend also take part as individuals, rather than in their official capacities.

The secretive nature of the Bilderberg Meetings has attracted critics and protesters – some of whom liken the gathering to a so-called “shadow world government”, where rich and powerful people dictate the goings on for the rest of the world.
The New World Order or NWO is alleged to be an emerging clandestine totalitarian world government and is backed by various conspiracy theories.
One such theorist is American televangelist Pat Roberton who published a book in 1991 titled The New World Order and as such became one of the most prominent Christian broadcasters of recent American history conspiracies.
In his book, Mr Robertson describes a world in which Wall Street, the Federal Reserve System, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg Group and the Trilateral Commission are in control of events from behind the scenes, and are prodding people constantly and secretively in the direction of a world government for the Antichrist.
However, Labour MP and former party deputy leader Denis Healey was a member of the committee for more than 30 years and was questioned on the group by journalist Jon Ronson for his 2001 book, Them.
Mr Healey said: “To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair.
“Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn’t go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless.
“So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing.”
