Where is the real Betty Broderick now?
Betty Broderick was convicted of killing her ex-husband, Daniel T. Broderick III and his second wife, Linda Broderick.
Betty carried out the killings on Sunday, November 5, 1989.
At the second trial on December 11, 1991, Betty was found guilty on two counts of second-degree murder and she was sentenced to 32-years-to-life in prison.
Betty is currently incarcerated at the California Institute for Women in Los Angeles, where she is expected to spend the rest of her life.
She is locked up alongside other notorious criminals, including murderer Theresa Knorr and Charles Manson “family” members Patricia Krenwinkel and Leslie Van Houten.
Her request for parole was denied in January 2010 and again in November 2011 and January 2017.
According to CBS News, Betty will not be eligible for parole until January 2032

Who is Betty Broderick?
Betty Broderick, who was found guilty of killing her ex-husband and his new wife.
She met her husband, Dan Broderick art at the University of Notre Dame in 1965.
They married four years later, on April 12, 1969, and Betty gave birth to their first child Kim in early 1970.
Betty and Dan had four other children, another daughter named Lee and two sons Daniel and Rhett. Sadly, their fourth child, a baby boy, died two days after he was born.
He also had numerous restraining orders against Betty and on April 22, 1989, Dan and Linda got married.
At approximately 5.30am on Sunday, November 5, Betty entered Dan and Linda’s home and shot them dead while they slept.
Dan was aged 44 at the time of his death and Linda was 28-years-old.
Betty turned herself into police and never denied killing Dan and Linda.
At her trial, Betty explained she never planned to kill Dan and Linda and the crime was not premeditated.
Her defence at the trial was she suffered from battered woman syndrome (BWS) and was driven over the edge to commit the double killing.
On the other hand, the prosecution portrayed Betty was a murderer who planned to kill her ex-husband and his new wife.
Her first trial ended with a hung jury and a mistrial was declared.
The second trial went ahead and she was sentenced to two consecutive terms of 15 years to life plus two years for illegal use of a firearm.
