UNAI EMERY is set to renew hostilities with Hatem Ben Arfa – after the Rennes ace mocked the Spaniard’s grasp of French during their time together at Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite making a promising start to life at the Parc des Princes, Ben Arfa was banished to the reserves under Emery, the feud finally ending in a court case.

As well as mocking the manager, France Football claims Emery and Ben Arfa fell out after the playmaker told the coach he would never make it past the Champions League last 16, even with the best team in the world.
Other stories include Emery telling Ben Arfa to stop acting like Lionel Messi, the Frenchman eating a kebab at training and Ben Arfa sarcastically celebrating his one-year expulsion from the first team with an anniversary cake.
The Instagram post states: “Happy Birthday to me, one year of the closet”
The former Newcastle star left Paris for Rennes last summer and has this season helped them go the furthest they have ever been in Europe.
Despite the feud, Rennes manager Julien Stephan backed Ben Arfa to put it behind him and shine in the Europa League clash against Arsenal.
He said: “It is a thing of the past – Hatem has a lot of experience, he’ll be able to handle it in a very smart way.”

Gunners boss Emery was also asked about Ben Arfa during his pre-match news conference. But he was diplomatic, saying: “He is a very good player. He is playing with a big performance.
“We know they have good organisation and good players. One is Ben Arfa, we need to control his quality and skills.”
The two meet for the first-leg tie tonight and then the return on March 14 at the Emirates.
