A FAKE tan has won cult status among beauty fans with the “magic” product claiming to reduce spot scars, black heads and rough skin as well as building up a gradual glow.
The Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pad Self Tanner for the face has gained almost exclusively five star reviews online thanks to its skin-clearing properties.
The “anti-aging” self-tanner comes in the form of a single step pre-soaked towelette “containing Active Vitamin D, Microencapsulated DHA and Soy Proteins.”
It claims to “deliver colour deep into skin to prevent fading through surface exfoliation.”
The £34 pads contain Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids exfoliate which claim to “tighten pores, eliminate blackheads and help fade existing sunspots for an even, streak-free glow.”
And fans are seriously impressed with the results, sharing their reviews online at the Australian beauty site Mecca.

One wrote: “I loved this product. It made my skin really smooth and gave me the perfect colour. I often did one layer for winter and two layers for summer to get the right colour.
“Was never patchy and didn’t break me out at all, if anything it helped my breakouts reduce.”
Another delighted customer added: “I’m a fairly demanding gal; I want my products to do AT LEAST 2 or 3 things for me at once.
“This one does. It exfoliates, tans, helps to even skin tone and gives you a dose of vitamin D! Great if you fake tan and want to exfoliate regularly without losing the tan off your face.”
Dubbing it the “Holy Grail” a third said: “Holy grail face tan with skin care benefits. Love the colour and the exfoliating.”
But this not the only facial tanner that is winning praise among beauty fans with a £10 St Tropez version becoming a best-seller on Amazon.
The St Tropez 48 Hour Hydration gradual tan for the face is the best-selling of its kind on Amazon right now.
The tan, which is currently on sail for £9.67 reduced from £14.50, contains vitamin E to help protect and soften the skin while helping to create a gradual bronzed look.
