BBC presenter says 'Strictly curse' claims are 'utter nonsense' as she tweets that there are 'two sides to every story'

Stacey Dooley has spoken out over the claims made by her ex boyfriend over the “Strictly curse” that allegedly caused their split earlier this year, calling them “utter nonsense”.

At the weekend, Sam Tucknott, who was romantically involved with Ms Dooley for five years, said the BBC presenter had split up with her because she was in a relationship with her dance partner, Kevin Clifton.

He called Mr Clifton, 36, a “slippery snake” and accused him of texting her saying that he loved her during the show.

The personal trainer, 30, told the Mail on Sunday he believed that she has been secretly dating the professional dancer for some time, adding: “I am so respectful of her, but I am gutted and disappointed and I feel so let down that she did not have the respect for me to tell me and just come clean.”

Ms Dooley  has hit back over the claims and tweeted: “Anyone with any adult life experience knows there are 2 sides to every story. I haven’t got the time or energy to correct some of the utter nonsense I’ve read on here.

“Re Sam, I loved him v much and only wish him happiness and success going forward.”

However, she has not denied being in a relationship with Mr Clifton, with whom she won the show.
