BARCELONA are lining up a sensational swoop for West Brom prodigy Louie Barry – as soon as he turns 16.
Schoolboy Barry has been earmarked as a star of the future after coming through the ranks at the Championship club.
His form in West Brom’s age group teams and within the England development set-up has seen him picked out as one of the brightest talents in the country.
And it has also seen Spanish giants Barcelona take notice of his potential, monitoring his progress over the past year.
They will have seen the 15-year-old accelerated through the West Brom system to the extent he was playing for the under-18 side which reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals.
He scored four goals and was credited with three assists in the side three age groups higher than his own.
And when on duty for his country he has been even more prolific – scoring ten goals in five games for the England under-15 side, before claiming the golden boot for the England under-16s when they won the Val-de-Marne trophy in France last year.
Barcelona scouts have seen enough to become convinced he is a player they want in their system.

The youngster from Sutton Coldfield is free to join another club on his 16th birthday, at the end of this month with a string of sides bidding for his services.
The Baggies realise they face a difficult challenge convincing Barry that the best place for his continued development is to remain at The Hawthorns.
If the prodigy does decide to sign academy forms elsewhere, his new club would have to pay West Brom a compensation fee for their work developing him until this stage.
