Arsenal trolled by Spurs fans with new stadium seeing as many Champions League semi-finals in 27 days as Emirates has in 13 year existence

TOTTENHAM took the chance to troll Arsenal after they booked their spot in the final four of the Champions League.

Spurs fans boasted that their new stadium will have seen as many semi-finals in the competition in 27 days as the Emirates has since it opened – 13 years ago!

Tottenham knocked out Premier League rivals Manchester City after a seven-goal second leg thriller.

Fernando Llorente scored the winner for Spurs – and the 34-year-old even “liked” the tweet that mocked Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will now host Ajax at their new £1billion home in the first leg on April 30.

The fixture will take place less than a month after their first game at the new stadium – which saw them beat Crystal Palace 2-0.

And the fans have used their club’s incredible achievement to take a cheeky swipe at their North London rivals.

Arsenal have never won the competition and have only played one Champions League semi-final at the Emirates since it opened in 2006.

The Gunners were booted out of the competition after a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United followed a 1-0 loss in the first leg.

After a fan posted the sensational statistic on Twitter, Tottenham fans went wild.

One said: “This is brilliant. I can’t wait for us to beat Ajax. Come on you Spurs.”

Before an Arsenal fan responded: “Just a reminder that Spurs haven’t won a trophy since 2008.”

And another added: “And Spurs have managed more home grounds than league titles.”
