Arsenal transfer blow as Crystal Palace ‘prefer to sell Zaha to Liverpool or Man City’

CRYSTAL PALACE prefer to sell Wilfried Zaha to a club playing in the Champions League next season, according to reports.

Even if that would see the Eagles star join Premier League rivals Manchester City or Liverpool.

Zaha, 26, is desperate to leave Selhurst Park and is known to be favouring a move to Arsenal, the club he supported as a child.

But Palace reportedly have other plans for their wideman and would rather let him go to a club playing Champions League football next season.

The Eagles “wouldn’t stand in Zaha’s way” if Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, City or Liverpool came knocking on their door.

But Sky Sports claim that – when it comes to Arsenal – Palace “don’t feel that the attraction there”.

Unai Emery’s men are set to play in the Europa League for a third consecutive season.

Meanwhile, the aforementioned clubs have not been linked with a move for Zaha yet.

But the Gunners need to be wary of Everton’s interest in signing the pacy winger.

The Toffees are understood to be looking to invest in a new wideman with the £22.5m they received from RB Leipzig for Ademola Lookman.

Palace, however, stand firm and have no intentions of selling Zaha unless their valuation of the forward is met.

Eagles boss Roy Hodgson said earlier this week: “I’m sure the player realises that if someone’s going to take him away from us, he’ll expect clubs to pay the market value.

“Until someone does that, there’s not much to discuss regarding Wilf.”
