Arsenal player ratings vs Liverpool: Leno shines in shootout win but Kolasinac poor

    Dani Ceballos – 6

Fortunate to not give away a penalty after allowing Diogo Jota to pinch the ball off him. Not at his usual high standards, looked to be playing a lot deeper than his cameo on Monday night.

    Nicolas Pepe – 7

A performance which perfectly encapsulated why he excites, but also frustrates so much. Whipped in a wonderful ball for Holding, but also ran into a few blind alleys. Looked much more comfortable on the left-hand side.

    Eddie Nketiah – 5

Spurned a wonderful chance to open the scoring, but dwelled on the ball, allowing Adrian to smother. After that, it was a frustrating night for the youngster.

Mohammed Elneny (for Ceballos, min 68) – 6

His first involvement was to pass the ball directly to a Liverpool player. Settled in after that to prvide extra security for his side.

Alexandre Lacazette (for Nketiah, min 82) – 6

Replaced Nketiah, but had next to no involvement during his short time on the pitch.

    Ainsley Maitland-Niles (for Saka, min 86) – N/A

    Scored his penalty.
