ARSENAL flop Denis Suarez appears to have responded to claims suggesting the midfielder could be sent back to Barcelona.

The Spain international, 25, posted a defiant Instagram message that read: “Let them keep talking”.

Suarez has only played 61 minutes in the Premier League so far, with Gunners coach Unai Emery claiming last month the midfielder was “unable” to play a full 90 minutes.

SunSport have reported that Arsenal are increasingly unlikely to make his loan move permanent for £18m in the summer – and are already looking at alternative signings for the next transfer window.

Emery is understood to be stepping up his interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Christopher Nkunku after failing to sign the France Under-21 international in January.

Arsenal have also reportedly held talks with Rennes over a potential transfer of their Senegalese ace Ismaila Sarr.

But Suarez seems to have shrugged off the rumours as he posted a cryptic Instagram story.

He shared a photo of him in training with a wide grin on his face, alongside a message that read “back on training with [smiling emoji]”.

He also added: “Let them keep talking” next to a shushing emoji.

Mesut Ozil’s resurgence at the Emirates casts a further shadow at Suarez’s future in North London.

The German midfielder was believed to have fallen out with Emery earlier in the season, but the hatched appears to be buried as he was one of Arsenal’s key players in the Europa League tie with Rennes.

Ozil also started the crunch Premier League clash against Manchester United last week.

Meanwhile, Suarez played just 10 minutes against the Red Devils, siting out both games against Rennes.

Suarez has played in just six games for Arsenal since his arrival at the Emirates in January, failing to start any of them
