ARSENAL fans are convinced that star striker Alexandre Lacazette attempted to recruit Wilfried Zaha before the Gunners’ clash against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Ivory Coast international starred once again for the Eagles as he netted his ninth goal of the season during the 3-2 win at the Emirates.
Zaha capitalised on a calamitous mistake by Shkodran Mustafi to restore the visitors’ lead after Mesut Ozil equalised just after the break.
Unai Emery‘s side are now in danger of missing out on the Champions League places after they dropped into fifth spot following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Burnley.
But supporters have found something to smile about from the shock defeat against Palace, with Lacazette and Zaha involved in an exchange prior to kick-off.
In a clip posted online, a Twitter user said: “Lacazette seemed to be talking to Zaha post-kickoff by pointing at the Emirates Carpet like a “Come here” gesture then Zaha here seems to be saying “Come get me” with a giggle.”
While another fan commented: “Lacazette just whispered come home to Wilfried Zaha.”
One quipped: “Agent Lacazette suggesting to Zaha he comes and bullies Mustafi on a weekly basis in training by joining Arsenal”
Another posted: “Lacazette and Zaha that was sooo bait.”
While one simply stated: “Zaha & Lacazette connection already.”

Zaha recently reaffirmed his desire to play Champions League football, with former employers Manchester United in pole position to land the 26-year-old.
He said: “I’m too ambitious. And not ambitious just to play for a top club, but to win things at club level and with the Ivory Coast.
“For me to be better, to achieve what I know I am capable of, I have to aim to play at the very highest level, to win trophies.”
Before adding: “I have to experience the Champions League. I just need the opportunity, that’s it. And I’ll do the rest.”
