Arsenal fans find huge design flaw in Tottenham’s new £1bn stadium… but Spurs supporters laugh them off as ‘bitter’

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR fans are rightly very proud of their new home but their neighbours have noticed a blush-inducing shadow created by a key feature.

Standing proud over the pitch is the club’s 4.5-metre Golden Cockerel, placed atop the South Stand on a metal structure.

But Arsenal fans noticed that it created an odd shadow on the playing surface when the sun was out during Saturday’s win over Huddersfield.

It gave Gooners a cheeky chance to poke fun at their local rivals.

On Twitter commenter noted that it being a shadow was fitting, as Tottenham are “always in” Arsenal’s.

Spurs supporters gave their end of the jibes too.

One joked that the shadow joke was “clutching at straws” with their rivals’ participation in the Europa League also a target.

Still officially known as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the 62,000-seater arena has earned many plaudits since opening.

The team have notched seven goals without reply in three wins from three outings so far.

However their battle with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea to finish in the top-four looks set to go to the wire, with just four points separating them.
