UNAI EMERY dropped a number of hints that Mesut Ozil will start against Tottenham tomorrow – but refused to confirm it.
The German midfielder looked back to his best when he scored and bagged an assist during Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Bournemouth on Wednesday.
Ozil has fallen out of favour this season and he was dropped for December’s 2-0 defeat to Spurs for “tactical reasons”.
But Emery sounded like he was ready to put his faith back into the 30-year-old when he faced the press on Friday.
“Players are all well”
The midfielder has missed a number of matches and training sessions this season due to illness and injury.
Emery confirmed that he will available for the North London derby when he said: “No more injuries. Our other players are all well.”

“Play with the best players”
Emery has stated his intentions to field his strongest team – which presumably would include Ozil – when he takes his side to Wembley.
He said: “We are going to play with the best players on the pitch, our best players, and the big test is whether every player can be ready to play to show how we are now.”
“Want to watch every player”
When quizzed on whether he trusts Ozil to play in big games, he hinted that the German has now regained his trust.
He said: “I want to watch every player play in all the matches against the big teams, against all the teams.”
“Ozil has the confidence”
Ozil has only scored five times in 21 matches for the Gunners this season, but Emery thinks he has confidence on his side.
The Spaniard added: “Each player has the skills and Ozil has the confidence to shoot like that.”
“Players with these skills”
Emery was blown away by Ozil’s technique when he scored the opener against the Cherries on Monday.
He claimed: “I think it’s also amazing that football can have players with these skills and able to do different things on the pitch.”
