PEP GUARDIOLA tells his players they must go out and beat Spurs in December for team-mate David Silva.
The Spaniard dashed back to his homeland to be with his partner following the premature birth of their son Mateo.
He was born at just 25 weeks and Silva made regular trips to Valencia over the next few weeks.
Pep told his players before their crucial 4-1 win: “Everybody stand up guys.

“Today you have to win for one reason. You have to win for David Silva and his girlfriend.
“He’s f***ing suffering tonight. When you go out there, you enjoy. Enjoy for him.
“If you go out there and we suffer, then suffer for him. Is that clear?”
GUARDIOLA picked out the hardest part of the season for a team chasing glory on four fronts, as City were last year.
He told his side: “December, January, February.
“Those three months are terrible when you are in the four competitions.
“You don’t have time for recovery. You have to have 20-22 top, top players to arrive at the end of all four.
“I don’t know if we are capable of going to the Champions League and Premier League.”
