Bully’s Banker

Aintree 3.25 – Waiting Patiently

Mark my words, this is a very, very good horse.

He my have been thrashed by Cyrname in the Ascot Chase last time but that was effectively his first run back as he was brought-down early in the King George.

Ruth Jefferson should have him spot on for this and it’s by far his best chance of landing a Grade 1 to date.

The rainfall will give connections extra confidence and given he missed Cheltenham, he will come here much fresher than main danger Politologue.

I would be disappointed if he wasn’t able to win this as I think he’s a true top-class horse who’s not yet been given the opportunity to shine.

Callum Calls It

Aintree 4.05 – Janika

My rain dance has worked and Janika looks to have finally got his ideal conditions.

Although it meant my NAP was a non-runner on Thursday, it has made me even more confident for Friday.

Nicky Henderson really likes this horse and it showed with an almighty punt coming agonisingly close at Cheltenham, when old for Siruh Du Lac just out battled him for the second time on the trot.

But there’s no Lizzie Kelly to worry about here and I think this horse – despite his huge weight – just has the class needed to see off this field.

He jumps and travels like a serious horse – as a mark of 162 would suggest – and this flatter track and a bit of mud should play right into his hands.

My cliff horse will be getting my backing again and I think Friday is his day.

Jack The Tipper

Aintree 4.05 – Forest des Aigles

My fancy snuck in this and runs off featherweight 10’0.

This eight-year-old is a tad inconsistent but on his day is well capable of mixing it in a big handicap such as this.

He’s got form at Aintree and still has plenty to offer off this mark.

Lucinda Russell is terrific at training horses like this and she often targets Aintree with her better horses.

My Friday longshot has a massive shot and looks a cracking each-way price.
