Because there really is no need to reserve the classic condiment for just savoury meals… right?

Makcari ice cream parlour in Kent originally paved the way for the experimental flavour along with a seaside-inspired mushy peas choice too.
And now Gelati Enniscrone in Ireland has created their own version of the flavour in honour of a certain Ketchup-loving celebrity – Ed Sheeran.
The Galway Girl singer is such a ketchup obsessive that he even has the Heinz logo tattooed on his upper left arm.
There’s loving the tomato sweet stuff slathered on your Friday night fish and chips and then there’s declaring your eternal devotion to the stuff with permanent body art.

Sadly, the singer himself has yet to enjoy his specially-made flavour but it’s very existence has been causing quite the stir on social media with many users commenting that they “have try this.”
So while ketchup ice cream may be something of an acquired taste, there’s definitely a demand for it among die-hard condiment fans.
