Now the serial killer has complained to bosses at HMP Frankland, Co Durham, and is demanding compensation.

He told a pal: “They had let two other prisoners, who were in for treatment, use my cell in the infirmary.

“So one of those b******s must have stolen the watch. It’s so selfish.”

The theft happened while Sutcliffe was taken to Sunderland Eye Infirmary for the latest round of treatment to save the vision in his right eye.

He left the watch in the infirmary cell where he was to recuperate after the procedure.

But he grumbled: “They shouldn’t have let anyone else in there and I will be demanding compensation because I have to buy another one now.”

Sutcliffe, who is already blind in his left eye, murdered 13 women between 1975 and 1980.
