SATURDAYS star Vanessa White is swapping the recording studio for the rainforest.

The Sun revealed the 27-year-old will be heading to the Australian jungle after recently breaking up with her long-term boyfriend. Here's the latest on Vanessa.

Who is Vanessa White?

Vanessa White is an English singer-songwriter who is most famous for being part of pop group The Saturdays.

She was born in Yeovil, England, and developed a passion for performing quite early on.

The Saturdays star attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School on Saturdays before being offered a full-time place when she was aged just five years old.

She had applied to join the prestigious Brit School but was unfortunately turned down.

Keeping true to her enthusiasm for performance, Vanessa appeared in several theatre productions including the West End production of The Lion King.

In the summer of 2007, Vanessa and the other girls formed their hit band, The Saturdays.

Who are The Saturdays?

The Saturdays line up is made up of Frankie Bridge, Una Healy, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King and Vanessa White.

Once they were signed up to Polydor Records they went on tour with Girls Aloud and began to write their first album Chasing Lights which ended up hitting number nine and was certified platinum.

Their second album produced some of their greatest hits and top 10 singles, Forever Is Over and Ego.

The group went on hiatus after their Greatest Hits Live! tour in 2014 but as of yet they haven't reformed.

It was speculated that they would get together again for their 10th anniversary but Vanessa White confirmed that she was not in a rush to get back with The Saturdays any time soon.

What is Vanessa up to now?

In September 2015, Vanessa released her first solo track entitled Relationship Goals and her official debut single Don't Want To Be Your Lover followed in November that year.

She has since released two EP's, Chapter One and Chapter Two.

She has also signed up for the latest series of I'm A Celebrity.

Speaking as she arrived in Australia, Vanessa said: "I am really excited to be here, it is my first time in Australia, I can't wait to take part."

She also told the Daily Mirror: "I am scared of everything though, so I am also a bit nervous. It's a bit of a mixture of nerves and excitement."
