DON'T Cha recognise this star? It is former Pussycat Doll singer and Celebrity Island 2017 castaway Melody Thornton.
The American singer-songwriter recently had her second attempt to find love on the E4 show Celebs Go Dating. Here's her story…
Alamy Melody Thornton was a member of the Pussycat Dolls for seven years
What's her background?
Melody was born September 28, 1984, and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, with her older sister, Nichole.
She has Mexican heritage on her mum's side and African heritage on her dad's.
She has an older sister named Nichole Thornton and Melody was first noticed after singing a Mariah Carey song at a primary school.
When did Melody join the Pussycat Dolls, and why did she quit?
Alamy Melody, far left, joked she was 'the black one' in the group
Melody wasn't part of the original Pussycat Dolls, who started as a burlesque dance revue in Los Angeles.
However, the band was looking to add some vocal strength and auditioned for new members in 2003.
Melody didn't dance for her audition, but she still got the gig, joining Nicole Scherzinger, Kaya Jones, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Kimberly Wyatt in the new group. She later joked: "I was the black one." (Her official nickname was Baby Doll, because she was the youngest.)
The Buttons hitmakers enjoyed worldwide success but struggled to get along, with several members claiming Nicole got preferential treatment from their bosses.
Their debut album, PCD, sold three million copies in the US and more than one million in the UK, but Kaya quit that year.
In 2008 they released their second album, Doll Domination — also a hit — and lost another member, Carmit.
They announced a hiatus in 2009, but after Ashley and Kimberly quit in 2010, only Melody and Nicole were left.
Alamy The band gradually lost almost all of its members before calling it a day in 2010
In 2010 it was reported that Melody had left the band as well. Later that year she said in an interview: "I got into the group to sing. That was made very clear to me.
"But it became more and more apparent what was going on. Roles were being minimised and minimised, and then by the time it got on the show, it was very much like, ‘Y'all play your part and this is what it is'."
In a later interview, however, she downplayed any rumours of bad blood between the group members, explaining the girls simply went their separate ways after their contracts had run out and insisting they were still "tight" with each other.
What did she do after she left the Pussycat Dolls?
twitter Melody went solo in 2010 but has yet to release her own album
Melody said she took time to get back to "normal life" after quitting the group.
But she soon began work on a solo career, releasing her first official single, Sweet Vendetta, in 2011.
The same year she competed in the second series of Popstar to Operastar, in which known pop stars are trained to sing opera. She was eliminated in week three.
In 2012 she released her first mixtape, P.O.Y.B.L. (an acronym for P*** On Your Black List).
Alamy She joined the likes of Charlotte Crosby and Ferne McCann in the line-up for Celebs Go Dating
She's also made an appearance in Bobby Newberry's video for his debut single Dirrty Up, alongside her former bandmate Ashley Roberts, and in Fat Joe's music video Ballin'.
Her vocals featured on LL Cool J's 2013 album Authentic, and she modelled in a 2014 ad for Dior.
Instagram The beauty hasn't had a proper boyfriend since her teens
Why did Melody join Celebs Go Dating?
Melody said ahead of her appearance on the show she was not necessarily looking for 'The One' on the E4 programme.
She said: "I'm just trying to get some regular sex on a regular basis."
Melody, who says she hasn't had a serious boyfriend since she was a teenager, continued: "I'm 32 and I live in LA. I'm definitely trying to practise being in a relationship."

JOOLS Oliver has sent fans wild after sharing a series of snaps of the plush Grade II home she shares with her husband Jamie and their five children on Instagram.
Having splashed out a reported £8.9 million on the property – which is located in the suburbs of Hampstead – it's no surprise the wife of the celebrity chef has been quick to give her followers a glimpse of the opulently bedecked property.
Instagram Jools Oliver has been sharing insights into the lavish home she shares with Jamie Oliver and their children on social media
The 43-year-old former model set tongues wagging over the weekend when she uploaded a picture of the couple's son Buddy, seven, sprawled out on her lavish Louis XV bed with his boots on.
"That is one hell of a bed!!" one fan remarked, before a plethora of others described the palatial furnishing as being that of "bed goals".
Other snaps show Buddy playing on an antique grand piano in a room that is lined with huge windows and an entire wall filled with photos of the children.
Another picture depicts River Rocket, one, sitting upright in a huge, free-standing bath, complete with a his-and-hers sink, though it's just one of many bathrooms in the property, which also boasts three full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.
INSTAGRAM The couple sold their home in Primrose Hill after moving to the suburbs of Hampstead in 2015 Instagram Baby River can enjoy bath time in a free-standing tub complete with his-and-hers sinks
After growing out of his first bed, Buddy was recently treated to a £1,895 tree house bed, with a vintage feel running throughout all of the children's bedrooms and playrooms.
Sharing a snap of River's nursery, Jools revealed it had been carefully decorated by a team of interior designers who are based in Denmark.
Admitting it is the room she has the biggest soft spot for, Jools wrote earlier in the year: "My absolute favourite room in the house. Little Rivers nursery ✨ thank you Vivi and Carina @styleplaydk you are so talented, brilliant and lovely your help was invaluable ❤ now I just need to get River out of his little cosy Moses @sebrainterior your cute cots are lovely 🌙xxx."
When it comes to her restaurateur husband, it seems Jamie chooses to work in an environment that is equally relaxed.

Sharing a snap of the celebrity chef – who is worth an estimated £240 million – working hard in the office of the family home, Jamie was pictured sitting against a backdrop of vintage movie posters and Star Wars memorabilia.
Meal times see the family sit around a large solid wood table, while the vibrant living room boasts a table that would be fitting for a medieval banquet – as well as a quirky pink corner sofa.
However, they won't be needing a table quite so large this Christmas, after Jamie revealed he had banned the couple's family from having Christmas dinner at their home after tiring of cooking for 30 people for the past 15 years.
Jools and Jamie moved to their Hampstead home after selling up their Primrose Hill property, which saw them merge two homes together to form a ten-bedroom pad.
