Who is Kirsty Young?

Kirsty was born on November 23, 1968, in East Kilbride, Scotland – attending Cambusbarron Primary School and Stirling High School.

She admitted she suffered from bulimia as a teenager.

The 49-year-old’s media career began in 1989 when she started working as a continuity announcer for BBC Radio Scotland.

Three years later, Kirsty bagged a presenting spot on the main evening news programme Scotland Today – and also hosted her own chat show, called Kirsty.
