Who is Jennie McAlpine and how old is she?

Jennie McAlpine is a British actress best known for her work on ITV soap Coronation Street. The 33-year-old was born in February 1984 in Manchester.

She is of Scottish and Irish descent and is a devoted fundraiser for several charities helping people with mental health issues.

At the age of 13, Jennie turned to comedy and was twice crowned runner-up in the Young Comedian of the Year competition.

Prior to landing her Coronation Street role, Jennie performed stand-up routines.

Who does Jennie play in Coronation Street?

Jennie joined the cast of Coronation Street in 2001 after landing the role of Fiz Brown.

Initially only planned to appear in five episodes, Jennie's contract was soon extended after impressing show bosses with her impeccable comic timing.

Fiz Brown has been at the centre of some of the soap's most iconic storylines including Hayley Cropper's death.

"Corrie have given it the green light because they’ve been able to reschedule her storyline filming — so everything has finally fallen into place.

“She’s bubbly and great fun, so the hope is she’ll be a great ad­dition. The producers are over the moon to get her.”

What else has Jennie McAlpine starred in?

Jennie started her acting career with a stint on ITV soap Emmerdale where she played the role of Michelle Morley.

Outside of acting, Jennie has appeared as herself on a number of panel shows including Loose Women, The Xtra Factor, 8 out of 10 Cats and Big Brother's Big Mouth.

She's also an avid participant on game shows. Jennie's competed on popular shows including The Cube, The Chase, Pointless Celebrities, and Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

Does Jennie McAlpine have children?

Jennie began dating boyfriend Chris Farr in 2005 and the loved-up couple welcomed their first child, Albert on 29 November 2014.

Jennie married Chris in January 2017 and together the pair manage Annie's, a restaurant in Manchester.
