What are the St Paul’s School sex abuse allegations?
St Paul’s Girls’ School has revealed allegations have been made by at least two former pupils, while others are said to have reported friends’ accounts.
The prestigious Hammersmith school’s High Mistress, Sarah Fletcher, has urged former pupils to identify those responsible for abuse, the Huffington Post has revealed.
In a letter to former students, known as Old Paulina, she says: “They [former pupils] have told us of past sexual abuse at St Paul’s.
“Two wrote from personal experience, others about what they had heard from friends.
“The allegations relate to a period spanning from the 1970s to 1990s.
“We immediately passed the information onto the relevant authorities, and we remain in close contact with them.”
The High Mistress thanked former students for coming forward and pledged to support them.
She asked those who felt able to identify individuals to make a report to police.
