EVERYONE loves a mystery drama – and Sky Atlantic have pulled out all the stops for their latest release, Save Me.

Here’s everything you need to know about the gritty new thriller which continues tonight and is guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat…

When can I watch Save Me?

Save Me became available on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV from February 28.

The show runs for six episodes before it reaches its dramatic conclusion.

The whole series is available to watch on Sky Atlantic, perfect for those who want to binge watch it in one go Netflix style.

Save Me’s first episode aired at 9pm on Sky Atlantic on February 28 and will continue at the same time each week, for anyone who wants to watch it in the more traditional manner.

What is Save Me about?

The story follows the story of Nelly, whose world is turned upside down when he is arrested and accused of kidnapping the 13-year-old daughter he barely knew existed.

Jody’s mother, Claire, who shared a “summer of love” with Nelly 14 years ago, is convinced of his guilt.

As a result, Nelly heads on a mission to clear his name by finding the real abductor and save his daughter.

It’s a journey that will challenge him to be a better man, and atone for his past mistakes, not least towards Claire.

But the further he travels, the more he realises the answers to his quest lie closer to home than he could ever have thought.

Who’s in the cast of Save Me?

Suranne Jones – Claire

Suranne Jones is a BAFTA-award-winning actress who is currently prominent thanks to her role in Doctor Foster.

In 1997 she took a small role in Coronation Street, before returning to the soap full-time as Karen McDonald in 2000.

She starred in the ITV soap for four years, regularly taking centre stage in dramatic plots, mainly involving her relationship with husband Steve.

Suranne started getting more high-profile roles in 2011, after bagging a part in Doctor Who, and starring as joint lead in detective series Scott & Bailey.

Other credits include Charlie Brooker’s A Touch of Cloth, The Crimson Field, and eventually Doctor Foster.

Lennie James – Nelly

Lennie is a Nottingham-born actor who has been working mainly on TV for the past thirty years.

However, he has an impressive amount of blockbuster films under his belt, appearing in Snatch, Blade Runner 2049 and 24 Hour Party People among others.

TV credits include Critical, Line of Duty, The Prisoner and Jericho.

He is currently starring in long-running zombie drama, The Walking Dead, playing Morgan.

Adrian Edmondson – Gideon Charles

Adrian has starred in TV shows such as The Young Ones, Blackadder Goes Forth, Bottom, Holby City, Celebrity Masterchef and War and Peace.

He has also appeared in several films, including Guest House Paradiso, Blood and The Rizen.

The star is married to fellow actress and comedian Jennifer Saunders, and they raise three children together – Eleanor, Beatrice and Freya Edmondson.

Stephen Graham – Melon

Stephen Graham will be recognisable to most as Combo in the highly successful channel four series, This is England.

He has also appeared in Hollywood blockbusters including Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy, and Snatch.

In 2017, he took on a leading role in the series Little Boy Blue, which retold the heartbreaking real life story of the murder of 11-year-old Rhys Jones.

Other roles include Boardwalk Empire, Taboo, Parade’s End, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Kerry Godliman – Teens

Kerry Godliman has worked as both a comedian and an actress, having worked the stand-up circuit before taking on grittier TV roles.

She will be recognised to most for her role as Hannah in Ricky Gervais sitcom, Derek.

Other credits include Bad Move, Miranda, Him and Her, and Our Girl.

SKY ATLANTIC Who will come out on top in the battle of wills?

Daniel Adegboyega – Bertram

Daniel has worked predominantly in theatre throughout his career, and is only now moving more prominently into TV and film.

In 2012, he appeared as a mercenary in James Bond flick Skyfall, and has since appeared in the 2017 Transformers instalment as well as Last Knights with Morgan Freeman.

Across 2018, he is due to appear in six new projects, varying from video game voiceover work, and film Baghdad in My Shadow.

Mia Austen – PC Helen Long

Mia’s career on the screen started in 2008 and Save Me marks her first role where she features prominently in a series.

She has previously worked on Doctors and Call the Midwife, as well as a series of short films.

In January, she gave birth to her second child, a son called Beau.

Prison Break Star Dushon Monique Brown Dead Aged 49 After ‘suffering Apparent Heart Attack’




PRISON Break star DuShon Monique Brown has died at the age of 49 after suffering an apparent heart attack, it’s reported.

The actress reportedly admitted herself to hospital earlier this week after suffering chest pains but died days after being sent home.

Brown is understood to have taken a turn for the worse on Friday and passed away of after a “cardiac episode”, according to TMZ.

A spokesperson for the Cook County medical examiner’s office told the Chicago Tribune she passed away at St James Olympia Field Hospital in Chicago on Friday.

The mum-of-one’s exact cause of death was not disclosed, the newspaper reports.

Brown is best known for her most recent role as Connie in NBC’s Chicago Fire, as well as starring as Nurse Katie Welch in Prison Break from 2005 to 2007.

Dick Wolf, executive producer of Chicago Fire, paid tribute to the star on behalf of the cast and crew.

He said in a statement: “The Chicago Fire family is devastated to lose one of its own.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with DuShon’s family and we will all miss her.”

She most recently appeared on UK television on Monday when she featured in Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams episode Kill All Others.


Brown also had guest roles on the US version of Shameless and Kelsey Grammer’s political thriller Boss.
