When is Kate Middleton and Prince William’s baby due?
Kensington Palace confirmed the news that a new royal baby is on the way on September 4 2017.
A palace statement said: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announced that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.
“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
The due date has not yet been announced by Kensington Palace.
Typically couples will wait until the three-month mark before announcing they are expecting a baby.
But the Sun’s Royal Correspondent Emily Andrews believes the Duchess was forced to announce the pregnancy early after to suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness) as she did in her previous pregnancies.
The Duchess is due to make her first public appearance since announcing the pregnancy on World Mental Health Day after missing every official engagement for more than a month as a result of the illness.
It was believed the baby is due in April 2018.
But there is now a suggestion that it could be March, after a slip of the tongue from Prince William.
While visiting the Spitalfields Crypt Trust, a charity that supports the homeless, the Prince dropped a hint about the third tot, Cosmopolitan reported.
After being congratulated during the visit, William told one midwife: “All the best with the midwifery, I may see you sooner than you think.”
Just a week before Prince William also let slip another hint that it would be a March birth when he said: “It was a bit anxious to start with, but [we can] start celebrating this week.”
The comment could suggest Kate is already three months along – meaning the Royal baby could be born as early as March.

What are the name rumours for Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child?
William and Kate already have two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
The gender of the new baby has not yet been announced.
Given the first two royal baby names, it’s no surprise that the bookies have picked very traditional names for their line-ups this year, with William Hill and Sun Bets both sharing the same top six.
William Hill’s most likely girls names are Alice (8/1), Elizabeth (10/1) and Victoria (14/1).
Sun Bets has listed the odds at Alice (9/1), Elizabeth (11/1) and Victoria (12/1).
If the Duke and Duchess have another boy, William Hill predict that James (12/1), Arthur (12/1) and Philip (12/1), will all be popular choices.
Sun Bets have listed the odds as: Philip (12/1), James (12/1) and Arthur (14/1).

How old are Prince George and Princess Charlotte?
Wills and Kate announced in December 2012 that they were expecting their first child together.
On July 22, 2013, Kate was admitted to St Mary’s Hospital, where William himself was born, and emerged with a son – Prince George.
In September 2014, the royal couple announced that Kate was pregnant again, with Princess Charlotte being born at the same hospital on May 2, 2015.

It seems like we welcomed the royal babies into the world only yesterday, but Prince George is four already and Princess Charlotte is two.
The royal couple are sending their eldest child, Prince George, off to school for the first time.
They have chosen a fee-paying independent school in a South London borough for their four-year-old son, Thomas’s Battersea.
