THIS simple new test will calculate your chance of getting skin cancer.
All you have to do is answer 14 questions to determine your chances of battling the disease, which is the fifth most common cancer in the UK.

Developed by Australia researchers from the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, the quiz asks people their age, ethnicity, country they live in and how often they are exposed to the sun without protection like sunscreen.
It also asks if you have had any moles or skin cancers removed in the past and also if you have a family history of the disease.
Based on your answers, it will tell you if you are between “highly unlikely” or “highly likely” to develop skin cancer.
Professor David Whiteman, who developed the tool, said: “At the moment, cancer control agencies don’t recommend population-wide screening programs for melanoma.
SCROLL THROUGH THE TEST BELOW TO CALCULATE YOUR RISK
“It’s up to individuals to talk to their doctors about whether they need regular skin checks.
“This online risk predictor will help identify those people with the highest likelihood of developing melanoma so that they and their doctors can decide how to best manage their risk.
“Regular screening of those at highest risk may help to detect melanomas early, and hopefully before they’ve spread to the lower layers of the skin and other parts of the body.
“Importantly, in this study, we found that people’s actual risk of melanoma was quite different to their own assessment. This highlights the importance of getting personalised advice on your melanoma risk, because it could well be different to your perceived risk.”

Professor Whiteman and his team plan to trial the tool in skin cancer clinics, but he warned that it can only provide an estimate of future risk.
“We encourage people to use it as a general guide, and if it says you have a high risk of melanoma, we strongly encourage you to visit your doctor and discuss whether a skin check would benefit you,” he added.
CANCER SCARE Most deadly skin cancers DON’T start in existing moles – here’s how to spot the signs
“Even if you have a low to medium risk, you still need to be sun safe.”
Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world.
In the UK, around 13,300 people a year are diagnosed with skin cancer every year, according to Cancer Research UK.

It occurs when damage is caused to the skin cells, most often by UV light from the sun or tanning beds.
UVA and UVB rays are the two main UV rays emitted by the sun.
UVA rays account for up to 95 per cent of UV radiation reaching the Earth’s surface, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation.
UVA penetrates the inner layer of the skin, called the dermis, and UVB mainly affects the outer layer of the skin, called the epidermis.

From Rocking The Red Carpet To Hanging Out Backstage At Glastonbury, Jo Whiley, 52, Really Is On Fire Right Now
ALTHOUGH this year’s Brit Awards will be remembered for Dua Lipa’s candy-floss ballgown, Este from Haim “interview-bombing” Cheryl and Liam and Stormzy laying into Theresa May, there was someone else who caught our eye last month.
Wearing a sparkly Roland Mouret dress and Spice-Girls-inspired platforms, Jo Whiley not only looked half her age, she was also one of the best-dressed of the night. Whatever the 52-year-old mother of four is having, we want some.

We’re not sure how our new style crush slipped under the radar for so long – perhaps because she is best known for sporting mud-splattered Hunters and a poncho at Glasto. She joined Radio 1 in 1993, has been one of the most familiar voices of our music-listening lives, and was the first female DJ to present the Top 40 – but she’s certainly not just a face for radio.
Back in the ‘90s, she was the Top Of The Pops presenter we all wanted to be. Wearing midriff-flashing vests and combats as she chatted to the likes of Blur and Oasis, Jo was the ultimate I’m-with-the-band ladette.
In 1991 she married music exec Steve Morton, and the couple now live in Northamptonshire, where she grew up, with their four children – India, 25, a cook and food stylist, Jude, 18, Cassius, 16, and Coco, nine. Although she regularly tops the polls for the sexiest voice on radio and counts everyone from Bono to Chris Martin as a mate, she says she’s happiest pottering about her garden.
So what’s the secret to looking this smokin’ in your 50s? A one-time county-level swimmer, Jo is now a keen runner.

“I watch what I eat and go to the gym, but being on TV now is an amazing incentive,” she has admitted. “Saying that, I can only go so long without coffee and a croissant.”
In 2014, her Sport Relief challenge to walk, jog and run on a treadmill for 26 hours was so impressive, Coldplay alone donated £260,000.
Jo looked almost suspiciously fresh-faced at the Brits, yet she swears she’s not been under the knife: “Occasionally I’ll say: ‘Oh god, I really should do something about the wrinkles around my eyes,’ and my kids and husband will shout: ‘Don’t you ever do that!’” she has said.
“They say they’re my laughter lines and they would hate it if they weren’t there. You have no choice about getting old and you just have to go with it.

“The thing I’m incredibly grateful for is my health. The older you get, the more you see people’s bodies failing and the more it makes you appreciate what you have.”
And while her Roland Mouret number was total fashion inspo, Jo says she doesn’t always get it right. “I once wore a radical green dress to the NME Awards. As I was about to leave the house, my husband said:
