THE death of Chief Hopper’s daughter Sara at the end of Stranger Things’ season one was heartbreaking.
And, Hopper’s relationship with Eleven – the kid with psychokinetic abilities – over the course of the Netflix show’s second series was bittersweet.

But one eagle-eyed Reddit contributor has spied a detail connecting the three of them – and it’ll make you want to sob instantly.
User ‘keulenshwinger’ pointed out that in a season one scene between Hopper and Sara, the little girl is wearing a blue hair tie.
Later on, she ends up in hospital and loses her hair, presumably from chemotherapy or some other form of treatment.
The blue hair tie is then shown on Hopper’s wrist, and he continues to wear it after her tragic death.

And, here’s where things get emotional.
At the end of series two, Eleven is seen wearing a bracelet while at the Snow Ball with Mike and her friends.
But the blue band looks a lot like Sara’s hair tie.
Hopper has officially adopted Eleven, whose name is now legally Jane Hopper.

Taking to Reddit, one user commented: “I love the subtlety of it. We didn’t need an emotional scene where Hopper gives El the hair tie/bracelet – it’s just understood that she’s now daddy’s girl.”
And wrote: “Hopper: It was my little girl’s. I want you to have it.”
Meanwhile, Stranger Things creators have been slated for forcing an unscripted kiss scene on teen stars.
And, this little lad looks just like Dustin.
