SIMON Cowell will not be appearing on tonight’s X Factor after his fall – with Alesha Dixon filling in for him.
The music mogul, 58, was taken to hospital on Friday after he fell down the stairs in his London home, the Sun’s Bizarre column revealed.

He was released from hospital later that day but is still recovering and unable to fulfil work commitments – so ex guest judge Alesha, 39, will take his place in the second of two shows this weekend.
A source said: “Doctors told him it would be too quick for him to return to work just 48 hours after a serious medical episode.
“So he’s getting so much needed rest and will be watching the X Factor at home with Eric and Lauren.
“Alesha knows what she’s doing and will be a good representative of Simon’s views.”

The X Factor boss’ absence on last night’s first live show meant Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne’s categories, the boys and girls respectively, were moved a day ahead of originally planned.
Whilst Simon and Nicole’s groups and overs will be the last to perform this weekend.
Simon was rushed to hospital on Friday morning after an accident at his London home, the Sun’s Bizarre has revealed.
The X Factor mogul was stretchered out of his mansion in a neck brace after an ambulance was called at 8am this morning and underwent tests.
The 58-year-old is believed to have fainted and fallen down the stairs after fetching a cup of hot milk at 6.45am

Simon was alone in his mansion with three-year-old son Eric and a security guard when the accident took place.
His partner Lauren Silverman was in New York at the time with her son Adam, who is 11.
He arrived home looking dazed and unsteady on his feet seven hours after paramedics took him to hospital.
Wearing a black jumper and Grey tracksuit trousers Cowell appeared to have a medical drip poking out from his clothes.
He was driven in the back of a black Range Rover flanked by three aides shortly after 3.30pm.

Cowell stepped out the back seat and waved at waiting journalists.
At the time, he said: “I’m feeling OK. I fainted. I just had a bit of concussion.”
He was helped up the stairs to his home – which just seven hours earlier was carried out strapped to a spinal board.
Asked about whether he will appear on tonight’s X Factor, he replied: “I don’t know about tomorrow. But I’m feeling ok.”
