He has since had stints at Inter Milan and is currently in the Russian top flight with Zenit St Petersburg.
But the 52-year-old eyes a Premier League job… if a club can match his outrageous financial demands.
Mancini wants a pay packet that tops £15million-a-year – a wage that is similar to Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
Not only that Mancini is requesting ten private jet flights to Italy AND 52 business class flights back home each season.

Mancini was linked with the West Ham job following the sacking of Slaven Bilic.
But the Hammers board refused to cough up the stunning fee needed to lure him away from Russia and ended up with David Moyes.
He is very unlikely to get a job at one of the ‘big six’ Premier League clubs and will therefore need to drop his demands.
Mancini’s man management has also come under scrutiny with former Man City stopper Shay Given claiming he fell out with every player.
