WHAT a jackass Sadiq Khan has made of himself, and what damage he is doing to Britain, by gloating over Donald Trump not coming to London.
How does it help the country? Or the capital he supposedly runs? What does Labour’s showboating little Mayor hope to gain aside from the easy adulation of Trump-hating Twitter hordes?

Khan fancies himself as a statesman. He hasn’t a clue how a real one behaves.
Across the Channel, Emmanuel Macron, no fan of Trump’s either, welcomed the President to Paris last year.
Why? It was in France’s interests.
But not Khan. “London is open,” he boasts. Except to the leader of the free world, our No1 ally and biggest investor.

Khan claims Trump has now “got the message” he doesn’t share “our values”. But Londoners should care less about the Mayor’s vainglorious displays of “inclusivity” than his grim failure to halt the knife crime killing black kids.
Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson rightly called him a “puffed-up popinjay”. Like his boss Corbyn, Khan will only ever be a banner-waving protester.

Trump’s statements are often offensive and, as with the issue of the new US embassy, uninformed cobblers. So what?
We should respect his office. Especially when we have hosted leaders guilty not of mere dumb tweets but of actual murderous oppression.
A Trump state visit is still on the agenda. Good. Name the day. Who cares if there are protests? The noisy left must not damage our national interests.
Our Government, and the President himself, must face them down.

HOW much longer will the Tories let Remoaners get away with ratcheting up baseless, damaging Brexit hysteria?
The pound has reached its highest level since the aftermath of the Brexit referendum
We are told we are going “to hell in a handcart”, that nine bazillion jobs will go, that the Pound will be worthless.
Except it is now back up close to pre-referendum levels. Employment, like the stock market, is soaring. Spain now backs the free-trade deal we want.
The tragedy is the Remainers’ lies ARE panicking some voters, as they intend.
We had a Government reshuffle. Where is the Brexit rebuttal unit?
