BREAK out the mirrorballs and stock up on cocktails – it’s Strictly Come Dancing final time again.
This weekend sees four fleet-footed celebs – Debbie McGee, Joe McFadden, Gemma Atkinson and Alexandra Burke – vying for the Glitterball trophy.
The lovely Debbie is odds on at the bookies – despite falling sick this week – but celebrity Strictly fans are divided on their own favourites.
Here are the finalists some famous fans are backing – and why.
TV star Chelsee Healey took part in the ninth series of Strictly Come Dancing. She was partnered with Pasha Kovalev and finished in second place, behind McFly’s Harry Judd.
Here, the 29-year-old actress reveals why she’s backing Debbie McGee.
PA:Press Association,BBBC Chelsee made the final in the ninth series and lost out to Harry Judd
Without a doubt, Debbie McGee is my Strictly winner. Have you seen her legs?! They’re amazing.
When she first stepped onto the dancefloor in that gorgeous red sequin dress and did the Paso Doble I watched with my mouth open. As she’s one of the oldest contestants (a glamorous 58), I just didn’t expect it, but she does things I couldn’t and I’m in my prime.
I still can’t get over her dancing – the elegance of her Viennese Waltz, that insane Charleston – she basically looks like a professional. The standout moment for me was the Argentine Tango. The fire! The passion! The sharpness of the moves!
Debbie has been criticised for being ballet trained, but it’s completely different to ballroom. And, a lot of people that have done Strictly have danced before. Ballroom is so hard – trust me! – so you have to give her praise and acknowledge how well she’s took to it.
BBC Debbie dances with partner Giovanni Pernice
The four finalists all have something special – they wouldn’t be in the final otherwise – but Debbie is just special. When I watch her she makes me feel emotional, she gives me a feeling the others don’t.
Debbie obviously lost her husband Paul Daniels not that long ago, and I think it’s amazing she’s doing something for herself. Her friendship with pro Giovanni Pernice is so lovely to watch. They’re both so cheeky and are always having a laugh.
The bookies favourite seems to flip between Debbie and Joe McFadden. It’s hard being the favourite – I know Harry Judd felt the pressure in my year. I bet Debbie does want to win now. All her hard work has led to this one moment.
If Debbie is anything like I was ahead of the Strictly final she’ll be s***ting herself! She’ll also be in a bit of a daze as there will be so much going on around her. My advice is to just enjoy it and not let the nerves take over. She just needs to dance her little heart out. Go on, the lovely Debbie McGee!
Ali Bastian, 35, made it to the final of Strictly in 2009 with partner Brian Fortuna. She came third, behind Ricky Whittle and winner Chris Hollins. She is backing former Hollyoaks co-star Gemma Atkinson.
BBC Ali Bastian was third in series 7 of the show
In my book, Gemma has been incredible.
She’s shown so much improvement, flair and passion and commitment and the public have been able to watch her blossom into a dancer.
Most actors have had some sort of movement training in our careers but Gem hasn’t danced before, so we have been able to see her develop and grow, and she’s captured everybody’s heart.
Strictly is tough, it’s really hard work but it’s also magical and she looks like she’s having a wonderful time. Having known her for a long time and worked with her, I know what a grafter she is and that she will have put her everything into this.
To be fair, everyone else has worked hard too and it’s going to be a tough final – the standard is so high. They’re all incredible, but Gem has an authenticity that I think is really special.
BBC Gemma in the show with dance partner Aljaz
We’ve seen new sides to her – with the passion in the Tango and the tender moments in the more romantic numbers.
I went to the show a few weeks back to watched her Foxtrot, which was beautiful, and Aljaz (Škorjanec) is such a wonderful partner and dancer.
At this stage in the competition, she’ll be in the zone and focused. I remember the nights before my final, the choreography was going round and round in my head at night, and I was counting steps constantly.
But Gemma and Aljaz have a real connection, a real friendship, and that’s a big part of when this really works. He’ll help her through and I hope to see her lift that Glitterball on Saturday.
James, 39, and Ola Jordan, 35, joined Strictly as professional dancers in 2006. James left the show after the 2013 season and Ola, who lifted the series 7 trophy with Chris Hollins, left two years later.
Rex Features James and Ola Jordan were professionals on the show
James: I think Joe should win because he has been on the biggest journey.
I think he showed potential at the beginning but he could have quite easily gone off the radar.
Week on week he has improved. I think he has pushed the boundaries. He has gone outside his comfort zone.
PA:Press Association Joe McFadden with dance partner Katya Jones
Ola: I like Joe because he’s not as good as the other two but there’s something about him that really draws me to him.
His dance partner, Katya Jones, has come up with great choreography and I like them as a couple.
Model Kelly Brook participated in 2007’s Strictly and was partnered with Brendan Cole. Following the death of her father she pulled out of the show in week nine. Here, the 38-year-old explains why she loves Debbie McGee.
BBC Kelly Brook danced in the 2007 series but had to leave after a bereavement
Debbie McGee has been such a revelation. I had no idea she was going to be such an incredible dancer. She is just so fearless. Her energy, determination and hard work are infectious.
Even though Debbie has had some classical dance training, you can’t underestimate how difficult Strictly is – I should know! She is such an inspiration for women of all ages.
My favourite moment has to be Blackpool when she dressed up as Geri Halliwell. It was just so young and vibrant, and she looked amazing in the famous Union Jack dress. She is a bit out of her comfort zone with the Latin dances but the Samba was incredible.
Her Tango is week seven was also spectacular and she received a standing ovation from the audience.
Giovanni is really, really pushing her. But Debbie rise to any challenge. You need a great partnership on a show like Strictly – she wouldn’t have been able to do those amazing lifts without trust. They have incredible chemistry.
Handout Debbie is favourite to life the trophy
Debbie stands out for me because she’s a natural born entertainer. She’s had a few back problems this season but the show goes on and she doesn’t make excuses for herself. She doesn’t moan about aches and pains or talk about her age.
It’s clear that Debbie just wants to put on the best show and that’s what Strictly is all about. Some celebrities don’t take it that seriously but Debbie does and all the hard work comes to fruition on Saturday night. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell who is the pro. Sorry Giovanni!
Joe is definitely Debbie’s biggest competition. That move he pulled in the Argentine Tango last week was insane – you think you’ve seen everything on Strictly until something like that comes along! A move like that could win the trophy.
I bet Debbie has a lot of anxiety ahead of Saturday, and I think it will be sad for her not to get the Glitterball. But she should be so incredibly proud. She’s got my full support. I can’t wait for Saturday – the final will be more exciting than Christmas!

I always knew Alex had rhythm but I’ve been so impressed by how much attention to detail her dances include. People think it’s easy to dance if you have rhythm but ballroom is a completely different disciple. Also, the amount of time she’s invested in what she has to learn really shows her dedication.
Seeing her and pro partner Gorka Marquez finally get full marks from the judges in the semi-final – totally deserved for that incredible Salsa – was a key moment for me. It recognised all the hard work the pair of them has been putting in. It was a clearly an emotional moment for her as well.
BBC Alexandra with partner Gorka Marquez
Alex has been criticised for crying on the show. Anybody who works in our industry has got to have a thick skin and she definitely does. It’s no secret what she’s been going through privately. A show like this, coupled with that, is likely to make someone emotional. Everyone is different and expresses their emotions in their own way. Alex has conducted herself in a good manner and has been honest with how she’s feeling.

DEFIANT mum has defended splurging £2,000 on Christmas gifts for her six kids — insisting: “Just because we’re on benefits shouldn’t mean they miss out.”
Married Claire Young sparked fury earlier this week when she bragged on telly that she could afford to snap up 11 presents for each of her brood without working a single day of the year.
Solent News Angry Twitter users branded the mum-of-six Claire as ‘greedy’ and ‘vile’ for revealing she’d put away £50 of her benefits each month to spend on the kids’ presents
Angry Twitter users called her “greedy” and “vile” after she revealed she received enough money in handouts to put aside a whopping £50 per week, leaving her with a healthy pot of cash to use over the festivities.
But ex-barmaid Claire, who hasn’t worked since 2012 because she has a painful condition called fibromyalgia, hit back at her critics.
She said: “No one has the right to tell me how to spend my benefits. I’m very fair and make sure my kids get 11 presents each — 66 between them.
“When I add in the rest of my family’s gift too, that’s 100 gifts. We live on the breadline, so anyone who has an opinion can bugger off.
Solent News Claire, pictured with kids Kayla, Lucy and Steven, says she saves her benefits to buy Xmas gifts Benefits mum Claire Young defends decision to spend £2,000 on Christmas presents for her kids
“It’s our money and we spend and save it well and the kids benefit. I’m proud I can make Christmas special for my kids.”
Claire, 29, who lives in Hampshire with ex-bricklayer husband Trevor, was blasted by viewers who watched her on ITV’s This Morning.
Some complained that many hardworking families would struggle to provide such a lavish Christmas. And one said: “I’d like to think she could donate some pre- sents to kids who’ll have nothing.”
But Claire said: “My kids love Christmas and just because we’re on benefits shouldn’t mean they miss out. I don’t tell people who work how to spend their money, so people who work shouldn’t tell me how to spend mine.
“The benefits system is there for when people like me hit hard times.
Solent News Out-of-work Claire has bought around 100 presents for family members
“We go without over the summer holidays and I have one pair of shoes so I can save for Christmas for my children.
“I want to go back to work, but it’s currently better for us not to as we wouldn’t make enough. I don’t drink, I don’t go out every weekend, I don’t take drugs, I hardly buy anything. Everything is for the children.”
Claire’s children are Steven, 11, Lisa, nine, Lucy, seven, Jamie, six, Kayla, five and 22-month-old Evie.
This year’s gifts include a PS4 video games console plus games, DC Superhero Girl toys, Lego, clothes, dolls and a Peppa Pig Farm.
Anyone who has an opinion can just bugger off
To afford her luxury Christmas, Claire budgets £300 per child, with a total of £1,800 on gifts alone.
When she adds in food, games and drink she says the cost comes in at more than £2,500 every year.
Yet she added: “I refuse to be criticised for spending and saving this money. People have no right to look down their noses at us or demand we spend the money the way they want.
ITV/This Morning Claire Young appeared on This Morning to defend her choice to spend £2,000 of her benefits money on Christmas presents
“I will defend everyone on benefits who is trying like me to make Christmas special.”
Claire, whose fibromyalgia causes chronic fatigue, went on: “I challenge those attacking me to live my life for a week, to swap lives and then tell me I’m wrong to save money to ensure my children have a good Christmas.
“Anyone on benefits is entitled to spend the cash on what they want — whether that’s a holiday, designer clothes or gifts for their kids.
ITV/This Morning Claire told hosts Holly and Phil that she saved carefully throughout the year
“My kids deserve to be spoilt. I always splash out on their birthday too, these events are important for children. Why should I deprive them just because I can’t work?
“My kids take part in beauty pageants too. I spend money on making sure they look good on stage, it’s good for their confidence.”
The family’s handouts include £1,040-a-month housing benefit, child benefit, income support and a carer’s allowance for Trevor, 27.
Here’s what Claire spent benefits on to buy gifts for her six kids Lego Claire has treated her kids to the likes of sought after Ninjago Lego sets Claire faced a backlash after using benefits to buy a PS4 games console
He said: “I’m proud of the way we’ve learned to save. We have to super-careful and we’re debt-free.
“Using the special Christmas saving plan means we don’t have to worry about finding extra cash at that time of year. If I have to go without or don’t have new clothes, I’ll do it.
“Nothing can beat the kids’ faces when they open their gifts. It’s our cash and if we choose to go without so we can have a nice Christmas don’t criticise us.”
It ain’t your money love. It’s tax payers money #thismorning and they have a right to judge what you spend it on
— hells (@Hellsbeg1) December 13, 2017
But MPs hit out at the spending spree.
Tory Alec Shelbrooke said: “Once again we see someone boasting of achieving things with taxpayers’ cash which the hard-working person next door can only dream of.
“Constant reform of the benefits system is necessary so people who work hard to support their families and contribute to society are at least on the same playing field.
“They will be appalled by those apparently playing our social security system for a fool.”
There are many people who work really hard and have no spare cash after bills and groceries have been paid for. Questioning how someone can put £50 aside each week when they’re on benefits seems quite reasonable #ThisMorning
