MILLIONS of powdered baby milk boxes have been recalled amid a salmonella scandal.
French dairy group Lactalis have been inundated by parents taking legal action over claims their children were left sick as a result of using the product.

The company owns two brands, Picot and Milumel, which have come under fire across 83 countries.
Emmanuel Besnier, the company’s CEO, said: “We must take account the scale of this operation: more than 12 million boxes are affected.
“[Distributors] know that everything has to be removed from the shelves.”

In France there have been 35 reported cases of infants getting salmonella as a result of using the products.
Mr Besnier added: “There are complaints and there will be an investigation with which we will fully collaborate.
“We never thought to act otherwise.”
